TOTW 23 Leaks & Predictions
After a weekend of absolute cinema across world football, the leaked data for Team of the Week 23 suggests we are getting some elite, game-changing options on Wednesday. This isn’t just your average TOTW; there are several cards here that will slot straight into meta squads.
Sandro Tonali (88 CDM): The Newcastle midfield engine is back. He was the absolute standout this weekend, inspiring a 3-1 comeback victory in the FA Cup against Aston Villa with a brace, including a stunning long-range strike. A lock for the squad.
Reece James (88 RM): A positional switch to RM makes this card incredibly intriguing. He’s been putting in serious shifts down the right flank for Chelsea, and with his physicals and passing, he could be an elite box-to-box option in-game.
Riyad Mahrez (87 RM): The Algerian wizard is aging like fine wine. He secured his 50th goal contribution for Al-Ahli with a goal and an assist in their 5-2 thrashing of Al-Shabab. Expect silky dribbling and a lethal finesse shot.
Piotr Zieliński (86 CM): He fired home an incredible 90th-minute winner for Inter Milan in a 3-2 Derby d'Italia victory against Juventus. This card should feature excellent passing and technical playstyles.
Mauro Icardi (86 ST): Icardi broke records this weekend, scoring a ruthless hat-trick in Galatasaray's 5-1 rout over Eyüpspor to become the club's all-time top foreign scorer. A deadly finisher for Super Lig squads.
Julian Ryerson (86 RB): A rock at the back for Dortmund. His pace and physicality will make him a very solid defensive fullback option.
Edmond Tapsoba (86 CB): An imposing presence. With high defending and physical stats, he'll be a great Bundesliga CB alternative.
Objectives Grind: Ultimate Gauntlet 11
The grind doesn't stop, and Ultimate Gauntlet 11 is officially live. For No Money Spent (NMS) players, this is an absolute goldmine and should be your primary focus for the next 7 days. It’s a 10-task tiered system, meaning you get rewarded for simply playing, scoring, and winning.
Group Reward: A massive 10x 85+ Rare Gold Players Pack. This alone makes the entire grind worth it.
Fodder Packs Galore: Throughout the 12 required matches, you'll earn ridiculous fodder, including a 1 of 5 87+ Pick, 3x86+, 5x86+, 10x83+, and multiple 82+ and 81+ packs.
Evolutions: You also earn two Evolution consumables just for scoring in 3 and 6 separate matches.
Verdict: Must-do. The rewards are actually insane this time around. It requires playing up to 12 matches and winning 6, which is incredibly generous for the sheer amount of high-tier fodder you receive.
SBC Spotlight
We have a massive drop of SBCs to look at today. Here’s the rundown on who to complete and who to ignore:
Franco Mastantuono (87 RW, ~60k) — Do it. He is a very good, cheap SBC with great stats, Rapid PS+, and Technical PS. 92 Agility and 91 Acceleration make him incredibly smooth on the ball. He might genuinely be meta.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (88 CM, ~60.5k) — Maybe. He has solid all-around stats (all above 81) and Tiki Taka+. He’s completely dependent on if he fits your team, but it's not a bad price for an 88-rated midfielder.
Fredrik Aursnes (87 CM, ~51k) — Skip. While Anticipate+ and Incisive Pass are great, he is hard to link and likely won't get upgraded. Most people will rightly focus their fodder on Mastantuono instead.
Beth Mead (89 LW, ~41k) — Skip. It's a very cheap and decent card for an 89, but again, Mastantuono looks better and commands the RW/RM spot.
Eva Navarro (87 RW, ~39k) — Skip. Another cheap SBC, but lacks the elite playstyles to break into meta squads.
Océane Picard (87 CM, ~28k) — Skip. Very cheap with decent face stats, but her playstyles and links are looking extremely poor.
89+ Encore Icon Upgrade (~244k) — The ultimate gamble. If your club is stocked from the Gauntlet grind, fire away. Otherwise, save your coins.

Market Watch
Current Status: Momentum High (63.27%)
The market is starting to move fast. We are seeing a massive surge in the prices of low-to-mid tier gold fodder.
Buying/Selling: Index 81 (+21.62%), Index 82 (+21.33%), and Index 83 (+24.76%) are skyrocketing. This is driven entirely by the demand for the 81+ Player Pick and the 5 of 10 79+ Player Pick SBCs. If you have tradeable 81-83 rated golds in your club, sell them into the hype now.
Actionable Insight: Do not buy 83s right now. Use your untradeables to complete the player picks. Liquidate any tradeable low-rated fodder you have sitting around; it's a seller's market for the low-end cards.
Evolutions
Today, we have a new paid Evo on the block:
The Invisible Wall (35,000 Coins / 250 FC Points)
Upgrades: +15 Overall (Max 88), +20 Pace, +20 Interceptions, +20 Def. Awareness, and the Anticipate+ PlayStyle.
The Play: Designed for low-rated CM/CDMs (Max 87 OVR, Max 85 Pace).
Verdict: Skip. It’s an expensive Evo that isn't really worth it unless you have a very specific club legend you want to give Anticipate+ to. For 35k, there are better ready-made CDMs on the market.
Quick Hits
TOTW 23: Tonali, Zieliński, and Icardi are headlining an action-packed Team of the Week following some massive real-world performances.
Ultimate Gauntlet 11: An absolute must-do. 10x 85+ and an 87+ Player Pick for just playing the game.
SBCs: Mastantuono is the clear winner today. Skip the rest unless you specifically need links.
Market: Low-rated fodder (81-83s) is booming due to player picks. Sell your tradeables.
EVOs: Pass on The Invisible Wall unless you're desperate for Anticipate+ on a favorite card.
That’s all for today’s drop! Keep grinding those Gauntlet matches, be smart with your fodder, and may your 89+ Icon packs be blessed.
Catch you Wednesday,
Shahmeer
