The headline today is the price of nostalgia. EA has pitted Messi against Ronaldo in a Player Pick SBC that costs more than most people’s entire club value. Is it a coin sink? Absolutely. Are we going to do it anyway? Probably not, but we’ll complain about it together below.

It looks like the content team is keeping the power curve high. After a weekend of standout performances, the leaked data for Team of the Week 20 suggests we are getting some serious young talent mixed with established stars.
Patrick Dorgu (87 RM): The leak confirms Dorgu is coming, likely for ending Arsenal's unbeaten record. With 95 Pace and 87 Dribbling, he looks like a fantastic wing-back option for Premier League sides.
Dani Olmo (87 CAM): Barcelona stays top thanks to his 1G/1A performance. His 89 Dribbling is elite, but 75 Pace might kill the card for anyone playing strictly meta.
Federico Dimarco (87 LB): Always a solid Serie A option. 86 Passing on a fullback is top-tier for switching play.
Nico Schlotterbeck (87 CB): Decent pace (76) for a CB, but likely fodder at this stage of the game unless you run a Bundesliga hybrid.
Endrick (86 ST): The Brazilian wonderkid finally gets a nod after a hat-trick post-Real Madrid exit. 96 Pace and 87 Dribbling? This is going to be a cheap beast that isn't actually cheap.

SBC Spotlight
EA dropped a massive content bomb of SBCs today, but quantity does not equal quality. We crunched the numbers so you don't have to waste your fodder.
TOTY HM Player Pick (90 ST, ~3.07m) — Skip. Even though they are GOATs, this SBC is really overpriced. If you want to spend this much just for fun then go for it, otherwise it is not worth it at all.
Sissi (90 CAM, ~1.03m) — Pass. The card is decent with 5-star skills, however, it is still a lot expensive so better to pass.
Melchie Dumornay (90 ST, ~271k) — Maybe. The card is okay with decent stats like 96 Pace, however, she has poor links and is a little expensive as well. Can be done if she fits in your team, otherwise pass.

The market is reacting violently to the high-cost SBCs dropped today. Fodder prices are exploding because everyone is rushing to do the lottery SBCs.
Selling: Sell everything 85-86 rated. Look at the data: Index 85 is up a massive 16.35% and Index 86 is up 6.48%. This is pure hype inflation. If you are holding 85s, list them now. You are making easy profit off other people's panic.
Buying: Wait. With the market green and "waking up", prices are high. Do not buy players for your main team right now. Let the TOTY hype die down later in the week.
Avoid: Don't touch 83s or 84s yet; they haven't spiked as hard as the 85s (which are needed for the high-rated squads in the Messi/Ronaldo SBC).
Evolutions
Power Play (30,000 Coins / 300 FC Points)
Upgrades: Low Driven Shot+, Rapid, Tiki Taka, Finesse Shot.
Verdict: Skip. It costs 30k and caps the player at Max 86 Overall. In late January, an 86-rated striker isn't making anyone's starting XI. The PlayStyles are nice (Rapid + Finesse is a deadly combo), but unless you are building a specific past-and-present theme team, this is a waste of coins.
