I don’t know about you, but this week flew by for me, and Friday came way quicker than usual. I couldn’t be happier, though, as we got a new promo, fresh SBCs, and a brand-new pack, one that’s definitely going to tempt you into spending some cold, hard cash.
After a ton of leaks, Ratings Reload Team 2 is finally here, and it’s not that different from what we expected. Headlined by Shaw, Messi, and Kroos, Team 2 contains 21 upgraded special cards featuring community‑requested boosts. The full line-up is even crazier than the first squad, so if you’ve been playing on and off this week, I’d recommend paying attention today.

Promo takeaways
Top-Tier Cards: Even though they’re not the headlines, Lauren James, Francisco Conceição, and Désiré Doué are going to be phenomenal in the current fast-paced meta. With their high pace and dribbling stats, expect them to dominate the field.
Solid Value Options: If you’re looking for a complete package, Dominik Szoboszlai is exactly that. His balanced stats (83 Pace, 86 Shooting, 87 Passing, 86 Dribbling) make him a versatile CAM or Box-to-Box CM.
Avoid / Overpriced Cards: Since they’re the headlines, Messi and De Bruyne are extremely expensive, costing over 7M and 1.2M respectively. With their low OVRs, paying that much won’t be justified at all, so skip these cards.
Pack Value Alerts
Similar to the first one, the Ratings Reload Team 2 Promo Pack costs 35K coins, or 500 FC points. There’s also a nano pack you can open for 6750 coins or 50 FC points. When it comes to the weightage of the packs, pulling a good card out of the promo packs has been next to impossible this year, so don’t expect that to change with this one.
That said, I can agree that this pack is really tempting, and if you plan on opening it, do it with coins, and not with FC points. If you currently have some FC points, use them to purchase the next season pass, as it will yield more rewards than the promo pack.
SBC Spotlight
Since Wednesday, many new SBCs have been introduced, including POTM Thauvin. Let’s break down which ones to go for and which ones to skip:
Florian Thauvin (86 CAM, ~18,450) — Insane value. Getting a POTM midfielder for less than 20K might sound like a dream, but that’s what you get with Thauvin. With 87 Passing and 89 Dribbling, expect a beast on the field.
Croix Bethune (85 CAM, ~25,450) — Solid value. At under 30K, you’re getting an 85-rated CAM with good playstyles. However, she’s not better than Thauvin.
João Pedro (86 ST, ~103,350) — Overrated. Good links and stats, but very expensive. For over 100K, you’re not getting anything special, so I’d recommend skipping this one.

Meta cards dropping: Meta Icons and High-End Golds are dropping. The introduction of elite promo cards like 90-rated Shaw and 87-rated James creates instant competition for top attackers.
Fodder crash: 83–85 Fodder will see an oversupply. The huge volume of packs opened today will flood the market with 83–85 rated cards, causing a short-term price crash. Do not sell now. Wait until Sunday evening when the supply slows, or Tuesday/Wednesday when a new SBC (like POTM or an Icon) is expected to push prices up.
ST Rise: The new Born to Shine Evo has pushed the prices of strikers. Players like Rashford, Nunez, Rutter, Endrick, and Joao Felix have all seen price surges. Sell them now if you’re looking to make a quick profit, or use the EVO on them to create an elite striker.
Born to Shine Evolution
The Born to Shine evolution was released today alongside the Reload Team 2. It turns your average striker into a finishing beast, boosting their pace, finishing, and dribbling. The cost is 25K coins, and if your striker is lacking these stats, definitely use this EVO.
Recommended players are Rashford, Nunez, and Endrick.

The packs might look shiny, but the odds of pulling something special are low. If you don’t have a lot of coins or FC points to spare, avoid opening them.
Thauvin is the best SBC on the market right now. Complete it within the next 3 weeks, and avoid falling into the Pedro trap.
The Born to Shine Evo has bumped the price of strikers up. Either sell them to make a profit, or use them on your strikers for a huge glow-up.
Fodder Crash is Temporary. Prices for 83–85 OVR Gold cards are expected to drop right now due to mass pack openings. Hold them until Sunday/Tuesday for an assured price rebound.
