Happy Friday! Today is absolutely massive for Ultimate Team. The highly anticipated Fantasy FC Team 2 is officially live, bringing a fresh batch of dynamic heroes and elite current players to the game.

Alongside the new squad, EA has dropped some promo packs in the store, a handful of mixed-bag SBCs, and two brand-new Evolutions to grind.

The market is also shifting violently with the new supply, so we’ve got plenty of ground to cover to make sure your club is set up for the weekend.

Fantasy FC Team 2

This promo is all about real-world performances translating into massive in-game upgrades, and Team 2 features some incredibly talented and in-form players.

This squad is stacked with players who perfectly fit the current meta, alongside some heavy-hitting Heroes:

  • Wesley Sneijder (92 RW) - An elite Hero card with top-tier passing and dribbling.

  • Rafael Márquez (92 CB) - A massive defensive presence at the back with 93 Defending and 92 Physicality.

  • Florian Wirtz (92 CAM) - An elite CAM boasting smooth dribbling and top-tier shooting.

  • Viktor Gyökeres (92 ST) - An absolute meta striker offering a deadly combination of pace, strength, and clinical finishing.

  • Tijjani Reijnders (92 CM) - A complete CM who does everything at a very high level.

  • Arda Güler (92 CAM) - A fantastic central playmaker with 92 passing and dribbling.

  • Warren Zaïre-Emery (91 CM) - A highly underrated CM who is super balanced across the board.

  • Conor Gallagher (91 CM) - An excellent, cheap box-to-box engine for your midfield.

  • Pierre Kalulu (90 CB) - A solid value center-back if you cannot afford the elite tier options.

Promo Takeaways

  • The Chase Cards: Gyökeres (92) and Wirtz (92) are the absolute stars to look out for in the current active player pool. Reijnders (92) is also a phenomenal chase card with top-tier all-around stats.

  • Solid Picks: Zaïre-Emery (91) and Gallagher (91) are incredible budget beasts for your midfield. Kalulu (90) is a very reliable CB if you need a strong, affordable link.

  • The Dead Cards: Avoid Cosme (87 CB); she is way behind the power curve at this stage. Van den Berg (88 CB) feels average in-game. Nnadozie (89 GK) is not reliable due to low-tier goalkeeper animations.

EA has dropped two promo packs in the store. Let's see if they are worth draining your club for.

Fantasy FC Guarantee Pack

  • Cost: 325,000 Coins / 1,500 FC Points.

  • Odds: 100% 82+ Gold, 91% Fantasy FC Player, 23% Fantasy FC Hero.

  • Verdict: High risk, decent reward.

  • Why? You are guaranteed 10 Rare Golds (85+), with two guaranteed to be 87+, plus one guaranteed 88+ Fantasy FC item. The 23% Hero drop rate is tempting, but 325k is a steep price for untradeable fodder if you pull a bottom-tier promo card.

Supreme Fifteen Pack

  • Cost: 250,000 Coins / 1,500 FC Points.

  • Odds: 100% 82+ Gold, 92% 88+ Gold, 45% Fantasy FC Player, 6.1% Fantasy FC Hero.

  • Verdict: Skip it.

  • Why? It guarantees 15 Rare Golds (84+), with three at 86+ and one at 87+. However, the 6.1% Hero weight makes this a terrible value compared to the Guarantee pack. Save your coins.

SBC Spotlight

We have a flood of new SBCs today. Let's separate the must-dos from the IQ tests.

  • Diego Forlán (91 ST, ~378.5K) — Expensive but decent. He is just an okay SBC; it costs a little too much, though his stats are decent. It is not a must-do, but depends on your squad needs.

  • Raheem Sterling (89 LW, ~137K) — Must-do. This is a good SBC that is cheap and offers some great in-game stats. He should definitely be done if he fits your team.

  • LALIGA POTM Mikautadze (87 ST, ~33K) — Skip. The card is pretty decent at this price with some good stats, however, at this stage of the game, it won't be that useful. Pass on this.

  • Sandie Toletti (87 CM, ~33K) — Skip. It is a cheap SBC with decent stats, but she is not of any use at this stage of the game. Save your fodder and pass.

Market Overview: The overall Index 100 is currently up, sitting at 54.27 (+3.59%). However, the fodder market is showing very distinct splits based on rating tiers.

Low Fodder on Fire:

  • Index 81: UP +4.88%.

  • Index 83: UP +0.30%.

  • Action: SELL. Upgrade packs and SBC requirements are keeping low-tier fodder afloat. Offload these now for profit.

Mid-to-High Fodder Crash:

  • Index 84: DOWN -6.53%.

  • Index 85: DOWN -6.43%.

  • Index 86: DOWN -5.11%.

  • Action: BUY. The influx of heavy store packs like the Supreme Fifteen and Fantasy Guarantee has absolutely crushed the 84-86 market. Stock up now while it's cheap to complete Sterling or chip away at Forlán!

Evolutions

Midfield Dynamo (20,000 Coins / 100 FC Points)

EA has dropped a paid Evo for strikers (Max 87 OVR), but it's a tough sell.

  • The Upgrade: Grants +7 Passing, +7 Defending, and +4 Physical. It also awards the Pinged Pass PlayStyle and the Anticipate+ PlayStyle+.

  • Verdict: This Evo is good. It is not very expensive and provides decent upgrades, especially Anticipate+, which is great for CBs. It should be done.

Max Skills (40,000 Coins / 300 FC Points)

  • The Upgrade: A massive +15 Overall and +15 Shooting boost. It gives +25 to Acceleration, Agility, Balance, Ball Control, Dribbling, and Sprint Speed. It also grants Trickster+ and Quick Step+.

  • Verdict: This is an expensive Evo that is just okay, not exceptionally good. It is only good on certain players, so it depends heavily on if you want to do it for a specific card; otherwise, it's a pass.
